Words have always been my escape from reality, but lately, they have also been my reality. Here's my chance to talk about all aspects of life, not just the pretty, picture-perfect moments we see on social media. No, this, this is real life.
Behind the Why
If life was a movie, mine would still be a book. Hi, I'm Sofia or in this series, S.O.S. As more and more types of digital media become popular, I want to go back to the things I started at, where pen and paper were my best friends, where life could be in black and white and my words still wouldn't change. Writing is the one form of communication where I can't lie to myself or anyone else. All the real feels come out and you learn to just feel it all while letting those feelings go.
When your initials spell out S.O.S, there must be a reason. And if not, then consider this my escape anyway. Except in this escape, I’m not crying for help; I’m letting the frustrations out, Because there’s something oddly soothing about sharing my deepest thoughts with the unknown world. Will there be judgement? Probably. Will it make a difference in my writing? Not particularly. Why? Because in a world filled with free spaces, you’re allowed to fill them with freeing thoughts.
